Welcome to Canterbury Squash Rackets Club

Welcome to Canterbury Squash Rackets Club

We are a private squash members club, based in Giles Lane, in Canterbury, that has been established for over 55 years. Our membership consists of a wide range of standards of players and is over 170 members strong. The club is solely dedicated to squash and game development. We are positioned as one of the few premier squash clubs in Kent.

We run a monthly club night for all members & prospective members on the first Monday of every month (2nd Monday if it is a bank holiday). The session runs from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm and is free of charge. It is a great way to try the facilities out and to meet new players with no obligations and we normally have a wide range of standard of players that attend these club night sessions.

For more information please contact the membership secretary, Joe Magor at :

The club facilities at Giles Lane, Canterbury include four well-maintained armour coat plaster squash courts, each with a viewing area, ladies and gents changing / shower facilities, lounge, and bar area. Our two main show courts also boast glass balconies for enhanced viewing during events. We also run a well-stocked, club shop and provide an online court booking system for our members to book courts off-site.
We run club leagues for all members. There are normally around 15 leagues in the summer and around 20 leagues in the winter. Our leagues cater to all standards of players and are a great way to improve your game as you will regularly play members with different styles and tactics which will help to develop your game to new levels. Each league starts at the beginning of the month and ends at the end of the month.
Canterbury Squash Club has four men's teams that compete in the South East Kent League and one team that competes in the Northwest Priory Kent League. There are plenty of opportunities for new members to become part of the teams setup so if you would like to be considered for one of our teams, please speak to club captain, Joe Magor
The club runs a series of internal competitions for all members. These competitions take place throughout the year and culminate in a finals night in June, where all the finals are contested to determine the winner of each event! We run 10 different competitions for various age and ability groups and they are free of charge to enter.
