Junior coaching sessions are run on Sundays from 10:00am to 12:00pm and are suitable for all standards of players. The sessions will be run by Junior Coach, Ben Goodayle (details at the bottom of this page).
Our philosophy is to give as many children the opportunity to play squash at any level and we also offer a substantially discounted membership for juniors at the club.
We currently have a number of juniors at county standard. We also encourage players to enter tournaments whenever possible. The club has thriving junior section has weekly coaching / playing times together with Junior teams in competition with others from across Kent.
The cost of each session is £5.00 and is payable on the day or blocks of six sessions can be booked in advance for £25 (a saving of £5) and we are also offering a free Canterbury Junior Squash performance t-shirt (worth £10) for all block bookings 🙂

I began playing squash at 13 years of age having previously concentrated on Tennis. Whilst a junior, I have competed in many ESR tournaments and have travelled to play in Belgium, Ireland and France and have represented Kent Juniors. I have been coached during this time by Chris Tomlinson and most recently Ben Ford. I still enjoy competing and wish to play at the highest level I can achieve whilst coaching and completing my studies.
Since 2016, I have been coaching at The Mote Squash Club running junior and adult squads and 1 to 1 lessons. The sessions combine drills, technique and fitness. I have also run several introduction to squash courses in junior schools working with Kent Squash in the Maidstone area and assisting with the Kent Junior Coaching programme.
From September 2018, I am studying PE & Sports Science at Canterbury Christ Church University and look forward to now coaching at Canterbury Squash Club.
