Dear Members,

It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of one of our members; Spencer Jon Whiting on the 1^st of April. Spencer was a much-loved character in the club and had served as Club Treasurer for a time, devoting many hours to producing accounts for our annual audit. He had played at the club as a junior and re-joined when he moved back to Canterbury. He often joined the ‘Tuesday night’ crew and enjoyed playing both his Dad Tony and brother Austin frequently before lockdown.  He had beaten Austin 3-0 in their last encounter and had already booked up to play him twice more in the second week of April which he was very much looking forward to.

Spencer was an incredibly generous, warm, and fun-loving son, brother and friend with great integrity.  He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
